Some of us have celebrities who we follow, wondering if we’ll ever get a chance to meet any of them face-to-face. Now I’m not really one to follow and gawk at those capital-C “Celebs,” but there are a few obscure people whom I consider “famous” in my world. This past week I got a chance to not only meet one of these pseudo-celebs, but have dinner and spend an entire day with her at a workshop hosted in LA.
Oh goodness, it really was amazing. If you’ve noticed, I’ve been blog-less as of late. This is due to the fact that I was spending LOTS of quality time with the family because I’m deathly afraid of flying and *knew* that the flight to sunny California meant certain death. As you can see, I’m fine, I made it and am much more knowledgeable to boot. HA!
Seriously though, I had an amazing time, and am excited to bring back what I learned to sunny Thunder Bay (Yes, I’m aware that the weather was nicer here than in LA, but that’s ok, I was in Disneyland…and you can’t beat Walt, even if it rains). Here are a few pictures from the workshop ‘details’ and tomorrow I’ll post some snaps of the photo shoot we did with the most gorgeous models known to man.
First some props: the celebrity I speak of is none other than Jasmine Star (voted photographer of the year and considered one of the 10 best wedding photogs in the world!), the models are also outrageous photographers Carly and Gabriel Ryan , and the beautiful flowers were done by Heavenly Blooms .
A special shout out to the supportive HUBS who encouraged me to go and stayed home to brave 6 days with three young boys and not only thrived but took them CAMPING…by.him.self. I am in awe.
And some other pics for fun.
Looks like you had a great time! Glad to hear it.
