Every so often a bride and groom have a vision that’s so off the beaten path, so to speak, that as they get more and more into their details and plans you have to stop for a second and say, “Wait…where?!”
Such was the case with the wedding of Erika and Pete at Hyatt’s Manion Lake Camp in Mine Centre, Ontario. Or at least, their wedding that was NEAR Hyatt’s Camp. If the words boat ride, portage, and float plane don’t immediately scream “wedding venue” to you, then let us introduce you to this fantastic couple and their equally incredible wedding site, made possible by the amazing hosts at Hyatt’s and an array of family and friends who were all more than willing to embrace adventure and the great outdoors to make E&P’s vision of a remote northern celebration a reality.
In summary: a 3 hr drive followed by a 45 minute boat ride (complete with portage) found us in a beautiful, sandy-beach, middle-of-nowhere, absolutely-worth-it place for the wedding of these two very sincere and caring and outdoors-loving folks you see below.

(And yes, Hyatt’s is looking for other similarly-outdoorsy folks interested in tying the knot in such a special place, if your fishing rod – and your future spouse – is so inclined 😉 )
